She is the former English editor and advertising executive for Images Interculturelles magazine, an award-winning bilingual (French-English) ethnocultural publication. She has an English/Sociology degree from the University of Toronto and studied Journalism at Humber College. When she's not writing or editing articles for CoreMagazines.com, she creates and executes communications plans and public affairs strategies for the health care and education sectors. Explosion at Ariana Grande Concert in Manchester Arena Being Treated as a Terrorist Attack

UPDATE –  “Families and many young people were out to enjoy a concert and have lost their lives,” said Chief Constable Ian Hopkins, referring to the many young fans of Ariana Grande who died in an explosion in the Manchester Arena last night shortly after the singer completed her last set and left the stage.

The death count has risen to 22 and the number of injuries along with it; some 59 people are spread among eight hospitals in the Greater Manchester area. There may be more to come and more too, may succumb to their injuries.

Popular Journalist, Documentary Host Desmond Cole Released from Toronto Star for ‘Political Disruption’

Popular journalist Desmond Cole posted a letter to his followers on Facebook about his recent release from his columnist position at the Toronto Star. Cole takes an activist stance on racial issues in his bi-monthly column in the newspaper, writing on “anti-Black racism and white supremacy in Canada.”
