Air Canada surprised everyone on a flight to Australia with sweats from Canadian outdoor lifestyle brand Roots in celebration of International Sweatpants Day on January 21.
More than 250 customers set to board the plane received Roots’ signature Salt & Pepper™ sweatpants, hoodies and passport holders.
The journey from Vancouver to Melbourne, across six timezones, is the airline’s longest, non-stop international flight and one of the longest flights in the world at 16 hours and 20 minutes.
Landing at 10:05 a.m. in Melbourne sporting Roots’ comfortable and stylish sweats, customers onboard the flight happened to be some of the first people in the world to celebrate International Sweatpants Day in 2019.
